These tests are certainly not mandatory to participate in the program. The testing outlined here is simply a suggestion and certain tests may be recommended to give us a fuller understanding of what the issues that are unique to your fertility may be. I try and make as many options available to patients as possible. All prices are listed and are subject to GST.

Female Hormone Profile: analyzes eleven saliva samples over a 28-day period for the levels of ß-estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, providing clues about menstrual irregularities, infertility, endometriosis, breast cancer, and osteoporosis. The advantage to many samples over a 28-day period is that we get a true picture of the hormonal changes that naturally occur during a womans cycle as well as how the body is adapting to the hormonal changes. Cost $ 420.00 + GST

Comprehensive Female Hormone Profile: This is a 3 in 1 test series giving invaluable information about the complete hormonal picture in the body. This test kit includes the basic female hormone profile (listed above), plus the Adrenocortex Stress Profile, a salivary assay of cortisol and DHEA, imbalances of which are associated with ailments ranging from obesity and menstrual disorders to immune deficiency and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. The Melatonin profile is also completed and is assessed with three saliva samples for the secretion pattern of this important hormone. Melatonin imbalance has been associated with Seasonal Affective Disorder, infertility, sleep disorders, and compromised immune function. Cost: $ 720.00 + GST

Male Hormone Profile: analyzes four saliva samples over a 24-hour period for levels of testosterone. Elevated levels suggest androgen resistance, while decreased levels can result from such causes as hypogonadism, hepatic cirrhosis, lipid abnormalities and aging. Cost: $240.00 + GST

Comprehensive Male Hormone Profile: Combines the Male Hromone Profile Test plus the extra two tests described in the comprehensive female hormone profile test, the Adrenocrotex Stress Profile and the Melatonin Profile. Cost: $ 535.00 + GST

Detoxification Profile (standard): analyzes saliva, and urine to assess the Phase I and Phase II functional capacity of the liver to convert and clear toxic substances from the body. This allows us to have a very clear picture of the bodies health before pregnancy and will help us to aim our detoxification and cleansing techniques directly at your individually biochemical needs. A good detox before a pregnancy helps be sure that your body is not overloaded with toxins and that your liver is able to cope with the extra stresses that pregnancy can bring. Cost: $ 310.00 + GST
